PLAYER’S CODE OF CONDUCT

Adhere to the appropriate dress code
Switch mobile phones to silent
Play within the rules of the R&A and local rules of the course
Avoid slow play and allow other golfers to ‘play through’, by signalling to them when:
- searching for lost balls.
- lost more than the starting time space or a hole with the group in front.
Every effort must be made in keeping up with the group in front and maintaining the
speed of play.
Always follow the etiquette of the game by respecting the course, such as:
- Repair pitch marks
- Replacing divots
- Raking bunkers
Always show the necessary respect to fellow golfers:
- No foul and abusive language or behaviour
- No misuse of equipment (throwing and breaking clubs)
- De-facing and/or damaging on-course signage
- De-facing and/or damaging course equipment and furniture
Conduct yourself in a sportsmanlike manner and not knowingly cheat, disrespect
employees, officials, or fellow players.
On completion of every hole announce the number of strokes taken to your marker
and playing partners.
All scorecards are to be returned and scores entered onto the computer software,
even ‘no-returns’.

The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Club are available at the Secretary’s
office for any member wishing to refer to them.
Members are reminded that:
ARTICLE 4
Membership of the club shall be open to anyone interested in the sport of golf on a nondiscrimination basis.
Every candidate for election as a member of the club must have been proposed and
seconded by members of at least two years standing and to whom the candidate shall be
personally known and who shall be responsible for his or her eligibility.
